80,000+ Unvaccinated Military Members Sidelined Over DoD Covid-19 Mandate
Active-Duty Officers Risk Careers and Call for Termination of Unlawful Order
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, WASHINGTON, DC – Risking their careers, active-duty officers in the US military called for an end to the DoD’s unlawful Covid-19 mandates today and exposed the coercive and retaliatory punishment that 80,000+ unvaccinated service members continue to face.
The thoughts and opinions expressed by these military members are their own and they do not represent the DoD or their service branch.
“I’m bringing awareness to this issue because it’s my responsibility as an officer to support and defend our constitution and the rights of others,” said John Bowes, First Lieutenant, USAF. “This mandate is a dire threat to our national security, and I’m here to inform the American people and our elected leaders about the facts, consequences and remedies in order to save our military and 80,000+ unvaccinated service members from discharge and harm.”
Less than 20 years have passed since the failed Anthrax Vaccine Immunization Program (AVIP), in which a Judge ruled against compulsory vaccination using Emergency-Use Authorized (EUA) products. Using the same tactics of coercion and punishment from the Anthrax vaccine mandate, the Department of Defense is now unlawfully forcing service members to take experimental, EUA Covid-19 vaccines.
These service members joined Dale Saran Esq. who provided updates to the cases he is litigating in Federal Court against the military Covid-19 vaccine mandate.
Saran is a former Marine officer who served from 1991 to 2018. He served initially as an attack helicopter pilot, was selected for the Funded Legal Education Program, and after graduating from law school and Naval Justice School, was certified as a Judge Advocate in 1999. Among his first cases as a defense attorney, Saran defended service members who refused to take the DoD's controversial anthrax vaccine. He later worked on the Doe v. Rumsfeld series of cases, appeared before Congress, and litigated in military appellate and trial courts over the Anthrax vaccine.
Military readiness, Constitutional rights, and national security are all at risk due to the mandates. Saran and his clients seek redress and hope to bring public awareness to these unlawful mandates and the issues plaguing our military.
“I believe this is a disaster for readiness,” said Grant Smith, Captain, US Army. “My hope is that us coming together and communicating in this direct manner might provide some forward motion in order to address this issue.”
