Greeting and salutations, as that now-forgotten Ventura used to say to lead off his weary shows. But today is the day for the Rage Against War. The rally in DC - at the Lincoln Memorial - kicks off at 17:00 UTC. Several other rallies are planned around the globe.
Even those who find reason to object to the organisers are supporting this one. And why? That should be easy to figure out. It's because they're against war, both in general and in particular, seeing as this war was solely and totally perpetrated by an arrogant regime. And no, that's not Vladimir Putin's Russia this time. Putin's the white hat this time. He has been the white hat for some time now. That's why they so hate him in the West.
Deflating Balloons
Let's start off with an exchange between George Galloway and Larry Johnson. Johnson manages in a few short sentences to completely stick it to the increasingly hapless Biden administration and their shadow game with balloons.
In a nutshell:
The balloons are part of a joint project between China and the US. But Biden is looking more and more like Biden, and the SOTU was coming up, so...
Those weather balloons fly over all the time. NORAD ignores them. One got picked up and Biden slammed NORAD for missing it. Reminding Biden that their detection sensitivity is deliberately dialed down so they avoid a deluge of false positives: that was deemed a waste of time, so NORAD simply dialed things back up again - resulting in the incidents that followed. But no one told you that.
A good guess is that Biden drank his piping hot cup of STFU and NORAD normalised.
Let's now segue into an interview with Scott Ritter. This is four days old, but it touches on a number of very important topics.
The 'about' for the channel this appears on states the following.
'The war between Russia and Ukraine is a battle between the world and a sovereign country. It's also a battle between Christian morality and decency and the perversion of Sodom and Gomorrah. This war is about defeating the new world order and making the world safe from oligarchs and tyrants. This is the other side of the story.'
Immediate takeaways.
With Sy Hersh in the rear view mirror, things suddenly appear at their actual size.
Ritter concurs with Johnson on Balloongate, blows the USG away, and goes into detail, but Johnson has more sources, and Ritter completely misses the SOTU connection.
The USG lost control. Stupidity of the highest order. Balloon was a joint US-China project.
The Biden administration is the most corrupt in modern times, says Ritter emphatically.
Biden carried out an act of war against an ally.
Biden wanted to destroy the European pipelines.
This was an act of war not just against Germany but against the world.
Joe Biden is Voldemort. He is the most evil man on the planet.
We are looking at an evil regime and it's not Putin's Russia. The evil resides in our capital, in the people's house, and it's named Joe Biden.
Remember the context. Peace was a reality in April 2022, but Biden couldn't have peace - he wanted to destroy the pipelines.
Biden got caught.
The reason? The folly of trying to chop up another country simply because it's too big. And turning all of prosperous Europe into vassal states of the US, of a Pax Americana that's already come to an end.

Once again here's the link to the Sy Hersh piece.
Gonzalo
Gonzalo Lira has a special message to the German people.
Gonzalo claims the Sy Hersh story is being hidden by German media. We were able to find several nearly mainstream links.

Chaos and Confusion
KJP must have savoured the moment when she was able to mock her audience and make fun of their genuine suspicions that the balloons may have been UFOs, but don't misinterpret: chaos and confusion litter the Oval Office carpet today.
Scott is succinct. No one in DC tells the truth. It's endemic. Pervasive. Inescapable. They either learn to lie or they GTFO.
(Yet he simultaneously calls for more honest politicians. How does that work?)
Carpet
First with the basics. Let's go back more than half a century.
FDR's 3rd VP was Henry Wallace. Wallace made clear he'd devote the coming term to draining the swamp. Yes, back then. Note the year. Things were already that corrupt.
The good people of his virtuous party couldn't tolerate an investigation, so they opposed Wallace as VP. FDR's wife had to travel to Chicago to plead with the convention but to no avail. The VP candidate they chose instead was an unknown with a lot of buttons to push.
FDR must have been aware of Oppenheimer's project, but it's inconceivable he would have let anyone test the product on people.
But FDR passed away and the unknown, Harry Truman, took over. Or one might say the joint chiefs took over.
Hirohito sent four letters to the White House, all begging for help to secure the peace. The letters were ignored. Truman wanted to scare the rest of humanity with that new invention and establish the hegemony later called Pax Americana.
The Russians had just finished routing the Nazis in Europe and Stalin sent a monster army east to help the US, and in just 20 days the Russians got a Japanese army of 1.2 million (yes) to surrender.
Japan was a mess. Fire bombs devastated the country.
There are several reasons FDR was often seated between Churchill and Stalin. The US was the chief ally. But Churchill hated Stalin. FDR's wanted to keep the allies together.
Churchill had plans to do away with Russia. These ambitions spread to the US. Plans like Operation Unthinkable, dating from before Oppenheimer. They were going to carpet-bomb all of Russia, just eliminate everyone, so they could... Could do whatever they wanted, if they even knew. Churchill may have been more aware of the 1930s trials than FDR. Ian Fleming covered those trials.
NATO was formed to protect western Europe from a Russian land invasion. The UK lost 400,000 troops in the war, the US the same, but Russia lost eleven million. The war wiped out an entire Russian generation, yet that country was going to fancy more warfare? With what?
The Warsaw Pact was formed several years later, to protect Russia and other countries from NATO, yet the US could easily change the narrative to point to the Warsaw Pact as the reason for NATO's existence.
If the USG could later convince its voters that Saddam was behind 9/11, they can clearly do anything.
JFK was assassinated by or at least with the help of the CIA. This is no longer a matter of speculation.
JFK got cold feet on the invasion of Cuba and still colder feet when it came to Southeast Asia. Removing JFK made things a lot simpler, one could say.
Persia (Iran) had one of the most progressive cultures ever in the 1950s. Miniskirted lasses going to university. Things were excellent, to say the least. But then they asked British Oil to open their books. British Oil asked for help from the CIA.
The Nuremberg purges were supposed to wipe Nazism from the face of the earth, but CIA honcho Allen Dulles sent a memorandum to make sure they ignored the vicious Bandera Nazis in the Ukraine. The US Dept of State went on to finance those Nazis and their NGOs for the next 45 years.
Guatemala experienced a period of great reform in the 1950s, but United Fruit didn't like it. Allen Dulles sat on the board of United Fruit. Guess what happened.
Victoria Nuland was most definitely behind the 2014 Kiev coup, but there was one even higher up: Joe Biden. Poroshenko, owner of the huge ROSHEN chocolate empire, was elected president in May and the night of the election began bombarding/shelling the oblasts of Donetsk and Lugansk.
Donetsk and Lugansk didn't want independence - they wanted autonomy. They somehow thought peaceful coexistence was possible. The Kiev junta, however, had no such sentiment, instead speculating and coldly calculating that they needed to exterminate about three million in the Donbass.
Putin's military was nothing like what it is today, but the Russians still got the Nazis to negotiate a peace. We now know that this was a delay tactic on the part of Hollande, Merkel, and Biden. Thus the Minsk Agreements.
Biden's son Hunter got a lucrative position at a corrupt company called Burisma for which he only had to go on being the son of the VP.
Crimea is primarily Russian. Became part of Russia in 1783. After February 2014, Kiev began talking of how people there were subhuman and candidates for extermination, like the peoples of the Donbass.
Ukrainians aren't necessarily Nazi, but there are a lot of Nazis in Galicia. Bandera Nazis are responsible for two of the bloodiest massacres in history, Volyn and Babi Yar.
In Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and the Ukraine, the Nazis hold annual torchlight parades for Nazism and Bandera. The Kiev parades attract up to one million.
The Nord Streams were a godsend to Europe. Russia is rich in almost everything imaginable. Germany got their gas so cheap that they could resell, with Russia's permission, for a tidy profit.
The focal point of human civilisation has always been Eurasia. The second world war changed that, albeit temporarily. The fear that things would swing back again is part of what prompted Zbigniew Brzezinski's book The Grand Chessboard. As others before him, Zbig called for the destruction of Russia.
Life in Russia today is good. There are some drawbacks, as Konstantin Kisin recently pointed out, but the disparities with the disintegrating West are dramatic. Healthcare, child care, education are far beyond what people in the US can conceive of. Thanks to the saturation of propaganda, most people in the US will not even believe how things are over there today, yet even YouTube is full of video reports on the richness of life, with overflowing supermarkets and amazingly good prices. The sanctions never worked - they had the opposite effect. The people of Russia are doing better than ever, their quality of life reminiscent of Europe thirty years ago, all the while Europe falls apart, freezes, and cities in the US turn more and more into shanty towns. This is not about the superiority of one system over another, but about the way the governments of the West, and in particular the USG, keep systematically lying to their peoples.
Russia's army right on the border of the Ukraine is estimated to be anything from half a million fully equipped troops to 650,000. They're just waiting.
Putin is to give a speech on 21 February.
Chaos and confusion also reign supreme here at SP HQ. It's very difficult, not to say impossible, to write when we're warned not to tell the whole truth, not to say anything too positive about Russia, not to explain how things look from anyone else’s POV, not to overly expose the corruption in the Biden regime.
This is of course untenable. We shall be reviewing our situation over the coming weeks.
Stop the war.
