Steve Kirsch was about to tell his story to Tucker's replacement when the FBI stormed Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach. Tonight he should finally be on, but a brief summary of the Mar-A-Lago situation would be in order.
(You've heard of the FBI in Mar-A-Lago by now. Even China's mouthpiece covered it.)

“The international community is watching in despair and confusion at US' troubled policies. Many experts believe the Democrats will likely lose badly in the midterm elections this year and the 2024 presidential election despite the current investigation against Trump. Republicans, the experts continue, will revenge once they regain political power, and Biden's son Hunter Biden could be the most likely target.”
But before the Mar-A-Lago story blew up, Bernhard of Moon of Alabama noticed.
Trump Raid Is Sabotaging The Democrats' Campaign
https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/08/trump-raid-sabotages-democrats-campaign.html
Bernhard ('b') took for granted that the ominous IRA bill, which dumps $430 billion more funny money and can only exacerbate an already runaway inflation, was going to help the Democrats. Then he heard about the raid.
(For some unknown/indefensible reason, he cites a top graf but rewrites it, changing “dozens of furious” to “hoards of angry”. And it'd be “hordes” and not “hoards”, b.)
“All attempts to get Trump over fake Russiagate claims or other issues have failed. Some 'classified' documents probably found in the possession of the person who, as President, had the power to declassify them will not change anything.”
“Even those conservatives who do not like Trump will see the raid as an illegitimate attempt by Democrats to prevent another Trump run for the presidency.”
“The White House claims to not have been notified of the raid. Many people will doubt that.”
“If Merrick Garland did not inform the White House he should be fired for political sabotage of the Democrats campaign.”
“If the White House was informed, its hatred for Trump must have pushed it into a very stupid mistake.”
Trump is now telling the media that he's made up his mind about running in 2024. It's far-fetched to think he'd say that right now if he'd decided not to run. Lots can happen in twenty-six months - lots can happen in twenty-four hours - but right now 1600 is all his again.
MoA Commenters
“And must have whisky oh you know why.”
“Consequences of this depend on what they find; but his holding of classified information is the very offense for which he cried Lock Her Up!”
No. A POTUS can declassify, a Hillary cannot.
“Follow the shadows on Plato's cave wall.”
Normally good advice, but not this time.
“I think they know the polling and their recent pathetic legislation is not going to change anything no matter how much they try. Trump's rallies are going to be huge going forward. He will fill stadiums. Biden will take another run sitting in the basement with 25 people showing up. All paid union staff in the area. He can't even put on his jacket.”
“I see the usual carried base of Democrats eroding. Immigrants and African Americans turning to Trump in larger numbers. This Democrat push of a transgender in every classroom, A Pelosi quote, and giving gender transition drugs to children, an assistant secretary of health quote, has gone too far for many, many people.”
“Of course, it is the economy stupid, as they say as well.”
“Using the organs of state against your political rivals is the hallmark of a banana republic.”
“Absolute own goal by Biden.”
“There's no way that the WH didn't sign off on this.”
“I'm sure they'll find the documents - whether they were there or not. They had better find something or this was an incredibly stupid thing to do.”
“Dems just reelected Trump.”
“The US is in a state of civil war.”
“This FBI raid which in the light of their alleged agent provocateur/organising role in the events of January 6th, the undercover infiltration of 'right' groups like the Proud Boys and assorted nationalist/ultra-nationalist/neo-nazi groups, the running of interference from Russiagate to Hunter Biden's laptop & now this raid on Trump's mansion, all this can be said to represent a COINTELPRO redux where the populist right are the target & the progressive/left now wear the G-Man, sorry G-Trans-Woman-Man badge.”
“The irony of course is while it was the left/progressive milieu who loudly opposed and exposed the FBI COINTELPRO crimes of the 60s/70s, they have remained largely silent over the politicisation of the FBI in a leftward/progressive drift over the last few years.”
“The raid on Trump is an outbreak of the fascist mind, however you dress it up.”
Where's Steve?
Steve Kirsch was scheduled to be on twice now. A $20M Dem donor jumping ship is a big deal, but not big enough in comparison. Not yesterday.
Today might be better.
Roundtable 11
We can round off with another Roundtable. Unlike CrossTalk or other commercial chat shows, this one carries on as long as those at the table want.
These three guests with Gonzalo this time are excellent.
Two and a half hours. You won't need to watch. Just put it on and peel the potatoes.
Stay safe.
