It's often said that the "Deep State" of the US plays poker and football and the Russians play chess. It would seem that POTUS #45 agrees.
"I went in yesterday, and there was a television screen, and I said this is genius", Trump said yesterday.

"This is a disaster, what's going on."
"This is a disaster, what's going on, whether it's Ukraine or the Afghanistan pullout, which I think is the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country", Trump said.
"You can take the five worst presidents in the history of our country and put them together - I don't think they've done the damage that this administration has done."
"I think that has a lot to do with what's going on in Ukraine”, Trump continued. “You look at inflation. You look at all of the different things that are happening so bad for our country. The border. Who could forget the border? Millions of people, not two million or one million, like they say. I say 10 million - millions of people are bum-rushing our country."
On the heels of Victoria Nuland's 2014 coup, eastern regions were in a panic. The Nazis in Kiev had declared them to be "sub-human" and deserving only of extermination.
Crimea, which is ethnically Russian and which has been part of Russia since 1789, reacted by demanding a referendum on joining the Russian Federation. The referendum was held, voting locations protected by some of the Russian troops legally in the area per prior agreement with Kiev, and both the turnout and the results were dramatic and unequivocal, ending in euphoric waterfront fireworks celebrations, of course not covered in western media.
Donbass, the regions Donetsk and Lugansk, began fortifying against Kiev's coming attacks, yet did not explicitly demand independence from Kiev, but opted instead for more sovereignty in a federal context.
That proved to be disastrous, with up to two million forced to flee over the border to Russia and some fourteen thousand lives lost in the incessant shelling and bombing, as Kiev began its campaign of genocide (covered in George Eliason's reporting).
Trump went on to say that little of the current mess would have happened if he were still in charge, something that's hard to dispute.
"That's the strongest peace force I've ever seen. There were more army tanks than I've ever seen. They're going to keep peace alright!"
What's often not stressed is that Russian forces "close" to the Ukraine border were still hundreds of kilometres away, even as Biden poured military and materiel into Ukraine itself.
Trump and Putin wanted to collaborate - but the "Deep State" tried to stop all opportunities for collaboration. Said Trump of Putin:
"Here's a guy who's very savvy, I know him very well. Here's a guy that says, 'You know, I'm going to declare a big portion of Ukraine independent'. He used the word 'independent'. 'And we're going to go out, and we're going to go in, and we're going to help keep peace.'"
"We will rise again."
The Nazis in Ukraine are not "neo-Nazis". They’re not skinheads in jackboots. They're the real deal - real Nazis whose ancestors stood shoulder to shoulder with Himmler's worst in World War II, followers of Stepan Bandera, capable of such bestiality that they scared the SS.
They truly believe the Third Reich will rise again. They're working actively for it. They have their torchlit midnight parades every year to prove it. They're not alone in being pro-Nazi and pro-Hitler even today, but they're the most formidable, the most terrifying. Victoria Nuland's coup in 2014 was - as she most certainly anticipated - a bloodbath.
"You've got to say, that's pretty savvy. And you know what the response was from Biden? There was no response. They didn't have one for that. Now, it's very sad."
When asked what went wrong to get the US so far off course, both morally and militarily, Trump told Clay and Buck:
"What went wrong was a rigged election, and what went wrong is a candidate that shouldn't be there and a man that has no concept of what he's doing."
Kamala doesn't seem to have much of a concept either, but her handlers could. For here she's asking her own people to "sacrifice" - she's preparing people to rally round the leader. And vote appropriately come November.
"We know that all of us are about to suffer, so we hope hating Vladimir Putin was worth it", says Tucker.
"You can take the five worst presidents in the history of our country and put them together - I don't think they've done the damage that this administration has done", says Trump.
