Lord knows what they would call it in Russia, but it wasn't a coup, no matter how much the warmonger Western media hoped for it.
But what was it then?
In this case, and for several reasons, it's best to be brief, perhaps offer what we feel are relevant links, and then leave you to mull it over.
We'll begin with what we believe to be the best and most accurate assessment, by the meticulous Brian Berletic aka The New Atlas. As many of you may know, Brian is a former US military man residing today in Thailand.
Brian always appears in dress shirt and tie. This clip takes about 25 minutes. You actually need little else to understand the ‘wild weekend’.
Prigozhin in a convoy without air support on an open highway to Moscow? Really? Prigozhin asked Shoigu to come on down south to talk to him. Shoigu ignored him.
Prigozhin's Wagner PMC wiped up in prestigious Bakhmut, but thereby their contract had run out. They were back in Lugansk, and they'd received their final remittance. Now what? That's what Prigozhin wanted to discuss, what Shoigu didn't respond to.
Prigozhin's Wagner PMC are immensely popular in Russia. On the level of national heroes. There have been billboards about them in the capital. And so forth.
Speculation is wild in the West. Of course it is. When people like that have little else to do or know, they speculate. Alex Christoforou, Alexander Mercouris, and Judge Andy's regular lineup are going to get closer, but the MSM of the West - the UK really stands out, along with WaPo, the Atlantic, and the NYT - will of course get it 180º wrong, clouded by their obsessive wishful thinking. But ye who be of the West will have already been inundated by the nonsense.
Here are Alex Christoforou's speculations.
Here's Judge Andy with Ray McGovern discussing ‘Poutine’.
Pepe Escobar, who should still be in Moscow, calls it ‘The Mother of all Maskirovkas’.
So on Sunday night? Putin and Russia came out on top, the collective West got collective egg on their collective faces.
Right Road
A bit of a diversion here. To point out that there good people everywhere. Such as 'Right Road', a lady currently residing in NYC, with dual Russian/US citizenship, who simply wants her countries to cooperate and get the US MIC to stop playing games.
(As you'll see in the clip next to last, Doug hopes for change as well, with Trump and Kennedy both firmly against Deep State games and belligerence.)
Here she's grabbed onto a local Ukrainian advert. Read what she's found.

The first of two clips she's shared.

The second.

The portent - and the reason for sharing them - should be patently clear.
The Russian people, along with Gilbert Doctorow, Scott Ritter, and Paul Craig Roberts, are increasingly begging Putin to take the gloves off and finish it already. But Putin is a patient man.
Judge Andy again, now with Doug Macgregor.
Wild Weekend
As unfinished as this seems, or is, we'll leave it there. Take care, be well.

Perhaps things were not as they appeared to be.
See first what Larry Johnson has to say with Judge Napolitano.
